Approved Electrician – South West
Work on pumps, motors and water infrastructure projects across the South West. Salary: £42,000 – £50,000 (DOE) plus company van, fuel card and strong benefits.
The OpportunityLeggwork is partnering with a long-established and highly respected contractor with over 50 years of success across Water Infrastructure, Civil Engineering and Specialist Construction Projects throughout the South West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Approved Electrician to support the installation, maintenance and repair of critical water systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. From pumping stations and water treatment systems to major infrastructure schemes, this role offers genuine variety, long‑term security and the opportunity to work on projects that make a real impact across the region.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Installing, maintaining and fault‑finding on electrical systems
- Wiring, rewiring and upgrading pump systems and pump houses
- Servicing motors, control panels and associated electrical equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across water infrastructure assets
- Supporting installation and maintenance projects across the South West
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to industry standards
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Inspection & Testing Qualification (C&G 2391 or equivalent)
- Proven experience with pumps, motors, control panels and electrical installations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work a site‑based 50‑hour week
- Salary of £42,000 – £50,000 (DOE)
