Ready-Mix DriverLocation:
Arkansas and Oklahoma (Mid-Continent Concrete, a CRH company)
The Ready-Mix Driver will be the face of the company, ensuring safe and timely delivery of ready‑mix concrete to a variety of projects and customers. The role involves operating modern equipment in both industrial and residential settings, often working independently with support from the team.
Main Responsibilities- Safely operate ready‑mix trucks to deliver concrete to job sites and company locations
- Conduct daily pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT standards
- Load and unload equipment and materials as needed
- Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws
- Perform minor truck maintenance and keep the vehicle clean and orderly
- Support team and supervisors with additional duties as required
- Deliver quality service and represent the company with professionalism and courtesy
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience driving trucks of similar size and equipment preferred
- Valid CDL A or B license required; must maintain an active, clear record
- Must be 18+ years old
- Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Hold a valid DOT medical card
- Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage (company provided)
- Willing to work up to 6 days a week with overtime as needed
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel for assignments
- Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to train and mentor others if experienced
- Meet company, state, and federal driving standards
- Expertise in operating mixer trucks and related equipment
- Strong math, record‑keeping, and basic reading skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team
- Experience in securing and transporting heavy or oversized loads
- Professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers
Work Environment Requirements
- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility
- Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments
- Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely

- Competitive base pay starting at $22.75/hr (based on experience)
