Arkansas and Oklahoma (Mid-Continent Concrete, a CRH company)

About the Role

The Ready-Mix Driver will be the face of the company, ensuring safe and timely delivery of ready‑mix concrete to a variety of projects and customers. The role involves operating modern equipment in both industrial and residential settings, often working independently with support from the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Safely operate ready‑mix trucks to deliver concrete to job sites and company locations
  • Conduct daily pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT standards
  • Load and unload equipment and materials as needed
  • Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws
  • Perform minor truck maintenance and keep the vehicle clean and orderly
  • Support team and supervisors with additional duties as required
  • Deliver quality service and represent the company with professionalism and courtesy
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience driving trucks of similar size and equipment preferred
  • Valid CDL A or B license required; must maintain an active, clear record
Work Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
  • Hold a valid DOT medical card
  • Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage (company provided)
  • Willing to work up to 6 days a week with overtime as needed
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel for assignments
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to train and mentor others if experienced
  • Meet company, state, and federal driving standards
Knowledge & Skills
  • Expertise in operating mixer trucks and related equipment
  • Strong math, record‑keeping, and basic reading skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Experience in securing and transporting heavy or oversized loads
  • Professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers
Physical &

Work Environment Requirements
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility
  • Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 25–50 lbs as needed
  • Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments
  • Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely
  • Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
