WHAT YOU WILL DOReporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager serves as a key financial leader responsible for accounting operations, financial close, and the internal control environment across the FORSITE group of companies. This role is both hands‑on and strategic — you'll ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting while acting as a trusted partner to executive leadership.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including consolidation across multiple legal entities
- Prepare and deliver internal management reporting packages for executive leadership
- Oversee general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards, CRA obligations, and internal financial policies
- Manage GST/HST and PST filings and support corporate tax compliance
- Design and maintain internal controls, governance documentation, and audit readiness
- Partner with the CFO and business unit leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and systems, including active participation in our Net Suite ERP environment
- Occasional travel within Canada and the US as needed

- Active CPA designation
- Progressive experience in financial reporting and controllership, with increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated experience managing a financial close process in a multi‑entity environment
- Solid working knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/HST, PST, corporate tax)
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems
- Experience with Net Suite specifically, or involvement in an ERP implementation
- Background in public practice or a consulting/professional services environment
- FP&A experience alongside controllership
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively and contributes to a positive team environment; reliable and accountable
- A problem solver who thinks critically and proactively finds solutions
- Detail‑oriented in execution, but able to see the bigger financial picture
- Someone who works effectively with significant autonomy in a lean team environment
- A clear, confident communicator with senior leadership
- Adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities in a dynamic organization
