Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City looking for an Accounts Payables Specialist. The Accounts Payables Specialist will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Review invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to payables
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and finance teams

• High School diploma/GED, or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus
• Some college-level coursework, accounting classes, or an associate degree preferred
• Previous accounting or accounts payable experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Excel
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
• 10-key data entry proficiency
• Tech savvy; skilled in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general office technology

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
