We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant (CPA) to join a dynamic accounting and advisory team in Salt Lake City, UT
. This full‑time position focuses on providing high‑quality tax services, proactive planning, and client‑focused advisory support. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to guide clients through tax compliance and strategic planning while collaborating with a professional team dedicated to excellence.
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and implement year‑round tax strategies to optimize client outcomes.
- Collect, analyze, and organize client financial data to ensure accurate reporting and planning.
- Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting tasks to support comprehensive client service.
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments, 1099s, and related schedules accurately and on time.
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding tax law changes, filing requirements, and planning opportunities.
- Support colleagues in improving workflow efficiencies and ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on tax implications and financial decisions.
- CPA certification with an active license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting or tax experience, preferably serving both individuals and small businesses.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, credits, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to clients.
- Proficiency with accounting software and tax preparation tools, including Quick Books and common tax platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
