Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a long-term contract position ideal for candidates with a solid background in accounting, particularly in industrial and manufacturing environments. The role requires proficiency in Sage 300 and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and post accurate journal entries to ensure financial records are up-to-date and compliant.

- Manage general ledger activities, maintaining proper documentation and organization.

- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify balances and identify errors.

- Reconcile balance sheets, ensuring all financial data is accurate and aligned with company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to maintain financial reporting standards and improve workflow efficiency.

- Utilize Sage 300 to execute accounting tasks and streamline operations.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company guidelines.

- Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and insights. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sectors.

- Proficiency in Sage 300 software and related accounting tools.

- Strong knowledge of journal entries, general ledger management, and reconciliation processes.

- Expertise in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Ability to perform accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and implement solutions.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
