THE AP ACCOUNTANT IS responsible for overseeing company accounts payable. You will maintain a high level of knowledge about the company’s accounting and will be the go-to person when questions arise. An interest in process improvement included leading efforts to implement AI in accounting a major bonus.
THE AP ACCOUNTANT WILL be responsible for the following tasks duties and responsibilities:
- Manage all accounts payable functions for the company
- Track and pay all company invoices
- Run AP reports
- Maintain checks on hold
- Reconcile bank statements
- Check that lien waivers have been collected
- Receive and pay invoices
- Track warranty and back charge issues and claims
- Filter vendor workers compensation, general liability, W9s, and trade professional agreements
- Support Accounts Receivable Accountant when needed
REQUIRED:
- Interest in AI improvements for accounting
- 5+ years experience in accounting and/or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Efficiency in time management and prioritizing urgency
- Organized and professional
- Exceptional people skills and clear communication
- Team player
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with Quick Books or other accounting software
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Accounting, Business, or Finance
- Construction background a plus
