Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems including journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and revenue reconciliation.
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.
• Balance books and prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements.
• Monitor and develop monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.
• Provide records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns (as required).
• Assist in setting up processes and procedures that capture, track, and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.
• Generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.
• Interpret reports and records for managers and stakeholders.
• Review, track, and maintain billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.

• B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email).
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP product is desired.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
