Role DescriptionThe Bookkeeper Associate Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, and maintaining accurate ledgers. The position prepares and reviews financial statements, supports month-end and year-end closing processes, and assists with budgeting and cash flow tracking. The Bookkeeper Associate Controller uses QBO to reconcile accounts, manage payables and receivables, and maintain up-to-date financial records for management review.
This role also supports internal controls, helps respond to financial inquiries, and collaborates with operations and leadership to ensure transparent, reliable financial information.
- Candidates should possess strong bookkeeping skills and experience with journal entries (accounting) and general ledger management.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements and other finance-related reports.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools used for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of finance concepts, including budgeting, cash flow, and cost tracking.
- Relevant qualifications such as an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field are beneficial.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a production-focused environment are important.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or related industries and familiarity with inventory or job cost accounting is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, integrity in handling confidential information, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are expected.
