Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or accounting who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Process and maintain customer accounts and billing information

Prepare and send invoices

Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts

Post and apply customer payments accurately

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies

Assist with collections activities and customer account questions

Research and resolve billing issues

Maintain accurate financial records

Prepare AR reports and assist with month-end processes

Communicate professionally with customers regarding account balances and payments

Work with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues

Requirements

Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or accounting preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Comfortable working with numbers and financial information

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and standard office software

Experience with accounting or ERP systems is a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently while also being a strong team membe
