US HR Admin Assistant
Major Drilling is looking for someone that provides frontline reception support while assisting with day‑to‑day Human Resources operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will represent the company professionally at the front desk while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in HR administrative tasks.
Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities:- Maintain confidentiality related to recruiting, training, and Human Resource issues.
- Enter new hire information in the human resource databases (ADP).
- Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
- Assist with recruitment and hiring activities.
- Assist with benefits administration.
- Complete employee verification forms.
- Complete background verifications for applicants.
- Provide administrative support for department personnel including file upkeep of Personnel, I-9, EEO, and Medical Files.
- Greet and welcome visitors; provide professional customer service in person and on the phone.
- Manage incoming calls, route inquiries, and take messages as needed.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Manage conference room scheduling.
- Provide general administrative support (copying, scanning, document organization).
- Assist with office supply inventory and ordering.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Professional and positive demeanor; strong customer service orientation.
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Willingness to assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail; and
- Ability to multi-task.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to support team-based work.
- Prior HR or administrative experience preferred but not required.
