Provides complex administrative support for department management, coordinates and oversees the work of the support staff, and facilitates the workflow of a busy wellness center. Accurately and professionally handles all desk operations including, but not limited to, all phases of the patient registration, scheduling process, payment collection and reconciliation. Greets and assists visitors in the Osher Center for Integrative Health and conducts outreach to patients who have been referred to wellness programs.
Provides general office support and fulfills receptionist duties. Supplies all visitors with information about wellness offerings throughout the center.
- Receives, greets, and directs visitors to appropriate person or office.
- Schedules appointments for patients.
- Answers telephones, providing assistance and directing customers.
- Manages shared email inboxes.
- Answers questions about the organization and associated programs.
- Provide other administrative support as projects arise.
Administrative Assistants, I:
Requires little to no related experience. EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
- Passion for health and wellness
- Bilingual (especially Spanish)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- University of Utah Health experience and/or healthcare experience (especially EPIC experience)
