Job Summary
This position will support the Category Management Team, Seasonal side of Center Store. The Category Management Assistant (CMA) plays an essential role in organizing, entering, and maintaining detailed product, pricing, and promotional information for assigned categories. This position supports the Category Manager by managing data entry tasks, coordinating clerical responsibilities, and ensuring accurate and timely communication with vendors, corporate departments, and member stores.
The ideal candidate excels in organization, accuracy, customer service, and building strong working relationships across multiple teams.
- Perform accurate data entry and clerical tasks related to product setup, promotional (deal) information, pricing updates, and category assignments.
- Provide daily support to the Category Manager, vendor partners, and internal team members.
- Communicate essential information through phone, email, and in-person interactions with vendors, corporate teams, and member store personnel.
- Prepare and distribute information for upcoming promotions, planning meetings, and category reviews.
- Maintain organized workflows to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
- Regular on-site attendance is required.
- Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 1+ year of data entry preferred.
- Retail store experience preferred.
- Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong service orientation with solid accounting and analytical abilities.
- Clear and effective communication skills across all situations.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, tables, and proven keyboarding skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Regular on-site attendance is required.
