The Admissions Scheduler supports the Neumont College of Computer Science Admissions team by proactively contacting prospective students and their families to schedule appointments with Admissions Officers. This is a part-time, 29-hour-per-week position focused on outbound and inbound call handling, calendar coordination, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming first experience for students exploring Neumont.
RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:- Make outbound calls to prospective students and parents to schedule appointments with Admissions Officers.
- Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email to coordinate scheduling.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date scheduling calendar for the Admissions team.
- Confirm, reschedule, and follow up on appointments as needed.
- Enter and update prospect information in the student information system (Campus Vue or equivalent).
- Communicate clearly and professionally to provide a positive first impression of Neumont.
- Coordinate with Admissions Officers to manage availability and prioritize scheduling based on enrollment goals.
- Assist with outreach campaigns tied to key enrollment periods and events.
- Support participation in mailings of key enrollment documents, such as acceptance packets and enrollment packets.
- Perform other scheduling and administrative support duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions Operations.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
- 1–2 years of customer service, call center, or scheduling experience preferred.
- Experience using Campus Vue or other educational database a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional phone presence.
- Strong telephone etiquette, including the ability to establish rapport and build trust quickly over the phone.
- Ability to use a script-directed conversation in a natural and efficient manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing calendars and records.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of calls and follow-ups.
- Willingness to learn and convey basic information about Neumont’s programs and admissions process.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Ability to demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations.
- 29 hours per week (part-time)
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required, with advance notice
