Job Description
The Mailroom Clerk supports the daily operations of the firm by ensuring the accurate, secure, and timely handling of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and internal correspondence. This role is essential to maintaining efficient internal communication and supporting business continuity in a fast‑paced, highly confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to designated departments and individuals.
- Prepare outgoing mail and shipments, including weighing items, applying correct postage, and ensuring compliance with postal and courier regulations.
- Process overnight, courier, and interoffice deliveries in accordance with established timelines and service-level expectations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records for accountable, certified, or tracked mail and packages.
- Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, scanners, and mail‑sorting tools; report issues as needed.
- Handle sensitive and confidential materials with discretion and strict adherence to firm policies.
- Provide courteous support to internal stakeholders regarding mail and package inquiries.
