As a Receptionist in our senior living community, you’ll be one of the first people residents, families, visitors, and prospective residents interact with. From greeting guests and answering phones to providing administrative support, you’ll help create a warm, professional environment where everyone feels valued.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting residents, families, visitors, prospective residents, and associates with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls using a multi-line telephone system, appropriately screening, transferring, and directing calls to the correct department or associate.
  • Take accurate messages and ensure they are delivered promptly to the appropriate individuals.
  • Respond to general questions about the community and connect callers and visitors with the right resources when additional assistance is needed.
  • Support prospective residents and families by answering basic community inquiries and assisting with the sales and marketing process as directed.
  • Assist with community tours when needed and provide a welcoming experience for prospective residents and their families.
  • Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail and other correspondence according to community procedures.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support, including typing, data entry, filing, copying, labeling, document preparation, and maintaining organized records.
  • Assist with office functions such as ordering and distributing supplies, preparing reports and packets, and supporting other administrative needs.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, activities, transportation, or other resident needs as assigned.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of resident, associate, and community information at all times.
  • Keep the reception and front office areas organized, professional, and welcoming.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and families by demonstrating patience, kindness, professionalism, and attentive service.

What Makes You Successful

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 0–1 year of receptionist, administrative, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar service-oriented experience is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and associates.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email, word processing, data entry, and standard office technology.
  • Ability to learn and effectively operate multi-line telephone and office systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
