Supply Chain Intern - Expedited Order Analysis & Process Improvement

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to help analyze and streamline the expediting of late and emergency orders. The goal of this internship is not just to track, analyze, and improve our processes, but to do so with a clear focus on reducing costs and enhancing customer service, demonstrating our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Issue Tracking & Analysis:
Maintain a daily log of expedited orders, recording details such as the root cause, responsible parties, and resolution efforts.

* Process Improvement:
Identify redundancies and inefficiencies in the current process and propose solutions for a streamlined workflow.

* Data & Reporting:
Analyze trends in order delays and emergency requests to provide actionable insights to the Supply Chain team.

* ERP System Utilization:
Assess the under utilization of demand planning and forecasting functions in our ERP system and recommend improvements.

* Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work with key stakeholders across departments to develop a sustainable process for handling expedited orders.

* Strategic Recommendations:
Support the team in determining the long-term ownership of the expedited order management function within the organization.

Qualifications:

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data-driven insights.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (preferred but not required).

* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to learn and act in a fast-paced environment.

* Effective task management

* Great attitude and desire to learn and grow

* Passionate about food and the food industry is a plus!!
