KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.

Responsibilities
  • Support engagement team and clients with the First Sale for Export program, ensuring compliance with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations
  • Conduct detailed transactional reviews to verify eligibility for First Sale valuation and document compliance requirements
  • Research, write, and review international trade advice
  • Formulate ideas and deliver possible trade savings opportunities
  • Build capabilities in key technologies that enable professionals to enhance client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Power BI, and more
  • Aid client engagements by preparing reports, summaries, and presentations related to First Sale for Export strategies
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a business environment (accounting firm, professional services firm, law firm or other consulting/business entity) with a preference for experience in trade compliance, valuations, international consulting, supply chain or economics
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; minimum of a bachelor's degree in business (supply chain, logistics, finance, or other business-related major), international affairs (international studies, political science), international trade, data analytics, or related degree, or an equivalent program from an accredited college or university is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and more)
  • Ability to plan and conduct in‑depth reviews of transactional data using data and analytics preferred; previous experience with artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
