Job Summary The Hotel Pricing Analyst evaluates market data, competitor pricing, and historical booking patterns to set and adjust room rates in real time. This entry-to-mid-level functional role maintains system integrity, and executes daily pricing tactics, including identifying rate parity violations of distribution partners, to drive profitability for our independent properties.

Core Responsibilities

• Competitor & Market Tracking:
  Shop owned hotels for rate parity violations from OTA properties, booking reservations for documentation and communication with OTA account managers for price corrections when needed.
• Conduct daily rate shopping of the local competitive set across Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and brand channels.
• Daily Rate Optimization:
  Review IDeaS G3 pricing recommendations daily to approve or manually override room rates based on hyper-local market shifts.
• Inventory Control Management:
  Learn to utilize revenue management controls within IDeaS G3 and corresponding room type and rate plan controls in Opera.
• Group & Wholesale Evaluation:
  Analyze incoming group RFPs using displacement models to ensure group rates match or exceed baseline transient value.
• Performance Reporting:
  Compile weekly and monthly revenue reports, tracking key metrics like ADR, Occupancy, RevPAR, and pick-up pace.

Experience & Key Requirements

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, finance, business, or data analytics preferred.
• Experience:
  
  3–5 years of experience in hotel front office, reservations, or revenue analytics.
• Opera PMS Proficiency:
  Practical knowledge of Opera PMS profile management, rate code configuration, and routing rules.
• IDeaS G3 Expertise:
  Experience navigating IDeaS G3 dashboards, user overrides, and system alert management.
• Analytical
  
  Skills:
  
  Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for ad-hoc data manipulation.
• Independent Drive:
  Ability to work autonomously without corporate-office oversight, typical of an independent hotel environment.
