This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Superintendent to join our team. The Concrete Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing concrete construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of concrete construction, and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple crews.

Your Day-to-Day
  • You will be the leader in creating, promoting, and enforcing Okland’s exceptional safety culture.
  • Lead teams both in the office and the field on the day-to-day operations of the project for the concrete scope of work.
  • Responsible for all planning, sequencing, scheduling, manpower, field coordination, forming systems, concrete placements, weekly labor/material/equipment management, material procurement, etc., for your assigned project(s).
  • Ensure all work performed is completed on time and within budget while still delivering the highest level of quality our partners have grown to expect when working with Okland.
  • Early engagement with our estimating and preconstruction partners to win new work as well as planning upcoming work we have in the queue.
  • Partnering with the project superintendent to develop and maintain the project schedule and logistics plans.
  • Partner with the project manager to complete monthly cost projections.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all trade partner contract agreements, holding parties accountable while still being fair.
  • Active training and mentoring of both our craft and salaried partners.
  • Ensures all Okland’s policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all personnel on the jobsite.
  • You will be the face of the company carrying our brand. We take great pride in what we do, lead by example with every action you take!
You're Ready for This Role If You Have
  • 8+ years of construction experience managing self-perform concrete projects
  • Experience in managing both horizontal and vertical forming systems
  • Comfortable with using a computer and using programs like P6, Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore
  • General knowledge of construction sequencing and interface between construction materials.
