An established contractor in the heavy civil construction industry is looking to add a Construction Estimator to its team. This position will play a key role in developing competitive bids and supporting a variety of infrastructure and site construction projects across the region.
The ideal candidate will have experience in civil construction and a strong understanding of project costs, production methods, and construction operations. Candidates from estimating, project engineering, field management, or project management backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Prepare pricing for grading, excavation, site preparation, utility installation, paving, and related civil scopes
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal operations teams during the bidding process
- Experience with in heavy civil, sitework, earthmoving, utilities, transportation, or infrastructure construction
- Ability to interpret civil plans and technical specifications
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, and production rates
- Experience with estimating, takeoff, or project management software is beneficial
