- Be the eyes and ears of the project, ensuring quality construction from start to finish.

- Observe, document, and verify work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
- Confirm procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications.
- Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
- Maintain inspector’s daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
- Perform on‑site material testing and produce as‑constructed sketches as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 3years of construction‑related experience.
- All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
- Strong knowledge of roadway, bridge, utility, and transportation construction practices, along with experience interpreting project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience performing daily inspections, documenting contractor work, tracking quantities and materials, and ensuring compliance with UDOT standards and project requirements.
- UDOT CTP LevelII certifications – required.
- HMA or concrete paving experience, with the ability to understand and inspect active construction operations in the field.
- Experience working on UDOT projects, including direct involvement in roadway, utility, or transportation infrastructure construction.
- ATSA Traffic Control, SRDT, Moisture/Density Gauge, and ACI/CTT certifications.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while helping projects stay safe, organized, and on schedule.
- Valid Utah driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Utah.

- ADA Pedestrian Ramp Training.
