Job Details
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year.
We are a general contractor based in Salt Lake City dedicated to building quality construction over the last 30+ years. We specialize in residential, commercial, and multi‑family construction.
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team full time.

- Ensure full understanding of construction plans and specs to maintain compliance; conduct in‑depth reviews of submittals and shop drawings.
- Evaluate project documents for constructability and material selection; flag discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with design professionals.
- Identify opportunities for cost and labor efficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
- Participate in regular project coordination meetings with owners, architects, and consultants; record and distribute accurate meeting minutes.
- Prepare and issue weekly project updates, tracking outstanding information to keep construction workflows on schedule.
- Assist with trade contractor scope development and bid package preparation.
- Collaborate with the superintendent to establish the construction schedule, including submittal timelines and milestone dates.
- Monitor the review process for materials, shop drawings, and samples to maintain timely approvals and jobsite readiness.
- Maintain detailed project logs for RFIs, submittals, potential change orders, and vendor proposals.
- Coordinate field quality assurance testing—such as concrete slump and compaction tests—to verify adherence to specs.
- Observe structural installations and field activities to confirm conformity to design and procedural standards.
- Conduct efficiency studies and analyze on‑site work habits to advise on process improvements for enhanced productivity.
- Uphold all company and site‑specific safety policies; report hazards or unsafe behaviors promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or the equivalent education and experience.
- One year previous field experience preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Procore proficiency.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Blue Beam.
- Team player: takes time to help co‑workers, customers and others achieve their goals and assignments.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Understand and apply OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Knowledge of scheduling programs preferred.
