Construction Manager/ Foreman, Estimator
Overview
A growing electrical construction contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support bidding efforts across commercial, mixed‑use, multi‑dwelling, healthcare, and mission‑critical projects. This role requires a seasoned electrical professional with a strong foundation in electrical construction, the ability to manage multiple high‑revenue bids, and the technical expertise to interpret drawings, specifications, and the National Electrical Code. The ideal candidate brings a blend of estimating proficiency, project management awareness, and exceptional communication skills to help deliver accurate, competitive bids and strengthen long‑term client relationships.
MajorDuties
- Bid and prepare cost estimates.
- Prepare and oversee preconstruction budgets and scheduling.
- Download drawings and bid documents.
- Review contract drawings and specifications.
- Reach out to vendors for quotes.
- Job site visits on remodel projects.
- Prepare bid letters and other documents as required for the bid.
- Prepare and present all take‑offs, quotes, bid letters and other documents to the electrical division manager for review.
- Ability to estimate commercial, mixed‑use, multi‑dwelling, healthcare, and mission critical projects.
- Ability to manage multiple high‑revenue projects.
- Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Be a self‑starter and be dependable.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by Manger.
- Five plus years of electrical construction, design, finance, and two years’ experience/knowledge of electrical project management experience required.
- A licensed electrician or an electrical background required.
- Must be able to multi‑task. Bid multiple projects at a time.
- Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and Bluebeam.
- Experience managing projects and two years’ experience/knowledge of electrical construction, design, finance, and management required.
