As our Estimator, you’ll be the key player connecting with contractors, home builders, and developers across the Wasatch Front. You’ll prepare accurate bids for footings, foundations, and concrete work while building strong relationships that turn estimates into signed contracts.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for footings, foundations, basement walls, flatwork, and other concrete-related projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from blueprints, plans, specifications, and site visits
- Analyze project requirements, material costs, labor needs, equipment, and production timelines
- Develop clear, professional proposals and presentations for customers
- Present bids, answer questions, negotiate terms, and close sales
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and internal production teams
- Review and manage change orders and project scope adjustments
- Stay current on market pricing, material costs, and industry trends
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure estimates align with actual project execution
- Maintain accurate records in our estimating software and CRM system
- Minimum 3+ years of experience estimating footings, foundations, or concrete construction (required)
- Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and best practices
- Proficient in blueprint reading, takeoffs, and construction math
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven sales ability – experience closing deals and building customer relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or similar) is a big plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Competitive base salary + generous commission structure (strong performers can earn $90K–$150K+ annually)
