Pipelayer Brief Description

Job Title:

Pipelayer.

Location:

Salt Lake City Area (Project Sites Throughout Utah). Projects are primarily located throughout the Greater Salt Lake City area. Travel between job sites may be required.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 hourly, depending on job stability and years of pipe laying experience.

• Install or repair sanitary or storm‑water sewer systems.
• Dig trenches and locate pipes for repair/replacement.
• Use lasers, grade rods, and other tools to set pipe installation grades.
• Ensure safety by following Blue Stake policy and operating equipment properly.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.

• 2+ years experience in pipe laying/underground utility construction, or relevant education.
• Proficient in the safe operation of hand/power tools and construction equipment.
• Ability to read construction plans and follow safety protocols.
• Knowledge of traffic rules and safety on highways.
• Familiar with safety standards and Underground Facilities Law.
