Job Description
Director of Construction Safety
PRI is a tenured Executive Recruiting firm with a client in search of a strong Director of Construction Safety with particular strength in Industrial Construction and Environmental Remediation versus Vertical Construction only.
This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety initiatives that support a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and risk reduction across multiple States and diverse jobsite environments.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include safety leadership and strategy, regulatory compliance, incident management and risk reduction, training and employee development, as well as operational and customer support.
The qualified Safety Director will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or related field, and will have a minimum of 8 years progressive safety leadership experience in Construction, Environmental remediation, transportation, and/or industrial services.
Multi-State operational safety experience is strongly preferred with experience supporting field operations. Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, EPA, FRA, and environmental safety regulations is also required as well as a CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification.
This position will support 3 States and will have up to 50% travel required.
