Architectural Project Manager
Job Description
This position is perfect for a design- and technically-minded leader with comprehensive project experience, particularly in the k12 sector. The role demands a strategic thinker who excels in client engagement, team leadership, and technical rigor. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, mentor emerging talent, collaborate with leadership, and contribute to raising design excellence across the practice.
Responsibilities
+ Lead design, technical direction, and project documentation for complex architectural work, focusing on ground-up Temple projects.
+ Guide and mentor interdisciplinary teams, enhancing skills, collaboration, and project quality across all phases.
+ Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals, design vision, and deliverable expectations.
+ Oversee project standards, workflows, and quality assurance from concept design through construction administration.
+ Participate in client-facing meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements, helping shape and communicate project vision and design intent.
+ Support broader firmwide initiatives related to design excellence, technical standards, and best practices.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit
+ Experience in architectural design, construction administration, design development, schematic design, and construction documentation.
+ Experience in creating and managing architectural models in Revit for Temple projects from schematic design to construction administration.
+ Registered architect preferred.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (required).
+ 10+ years of professional experience with demonstrated leadership across multiple project phases.
+ Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
+ Familiarity with additional software such as Sketch Up, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, or BIM coordination tools is a plus.
+ Experience in k12 design strongly preferred.
+ Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
+ Ability to mentor others, lead teams, and uphold design and technical standards.
+ Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable managing complex project demands with professionalism and autonomy.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday in the office, with some site visits. The position offers a 9/80 schedule, allowing every other Friday off, and the flexibility to adjust the schedule to match holidays for a four-day weekend. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
