Architect II
We are seeking a licensed Architect II with strong healthcare project experience to support small to mid‑sized architectural projects. This role is responsible for developing and delivering complete construction documents, coordinating with consultants, and contributing to high‑quality project outcomes. The Architect II works both independently and under senior‑leadership and may provide day‑to‑day guidance to junior staff.
Responsibilities- Develop architectural solutions for small projects independently and mid‑sized healthcare projects under the direction of senior‑architects or project managers.
- Prepare and oversee construction documents, specifications, and material selections.
- Perform programming, space planning, and project analysis with a focus on healthcare environments.
- Conduct site surveys, documentation, and field verification.
- Coordinate effectively with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants.
- Produce presentation materials and visual aids for client and internal use.
- Support construction administration, including submittal reviews and RFIs.
- Apply current codes, standards, and best practices, including IBC, accessibility, and healthcare‑related regulations.
- Stay current on building products, systems, and emerging healthcare design trends.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Architect I and entry‑level staff.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Revit, architectural design, and construction administration.
- Experience in design development and construction documentation.
- Strong experience in healthcare design.
- Ability to apply current codes, standards, and best practices, including IBC and accessibility.
- Proficiency in Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Newforma.
Skills & Qualifications
- Licensed Architect in Utah.
- 10+ years of professional architectural experience.
- Accredited degree from a NAAB‑accredited program (preferred).
- Proven experience working on healthcare projects such as clinics, hospitals, or medical offices.
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and healthcare codes.
- Proficiency with IBC, accessibility requirements, and local zoning codes.
- Understanding of sustainability principles, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days at home and 2 days in the office, following an initial 90‑day period of 5 days in the office. Office days are project team dependent. The role offers flexible start and end hours, with 'base' hours of 8 am to 5 pm, allowing a start time up to 2 hours before or after 8 am.

This is a Permanent position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70 000.00 – $90 000.00/yr. Depending on years of experience, PTO of between 160 to 200 hours per year. 11.5 holidays PTO and holidays listed above. Growth opportunity:
