Landscape Architectural Site Furnishings & Engineered Rooftop Planting Systems

About Us

We are a design-driven manufacturer of landscape architectural site furnishings and engineered modular planting systems for commercial developments, rooftop terraces, amenity decks, and mixed-use environments. We offer custom design development and manufacturing of landscape architectural products including pergolas, outdoor kitchens, modular planting systems and public art.

Our work goes beyond standard planters and site elements. We engineer fully integrated systems that combine:

  • Fire and water features
  • Integrated seating
  • Lighting and audio integration
  • Guardrails
  • Structural attachment systems
  • Wind uplift performance
  • Saturated soil containment and drainage performance

Our systems are often written into project specifications and require coordination across structural, architectural, waterproofing, and landscape disciplines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly technical, consultative Architectural Sales Engineer to drive specification-based active sales proposals and manage complex commercial projects from design phase through award. We have a robust backlog of projects where we have been specified and or invited to provide proposals for the landscape portion of projects across the US.

This is not a transactional sales role.

You will work directly with:

  • Architects and Landscape Architects (specification phase)
  • Engineers (structural and envelope coordination)
  • General Contractors (bidding and construction)
  • Specialty subcontractors (installation coordination)

Your primary objective is to get our systems specified as Basis of Design and shepherd projects through the bidding cycles with General contractors and bidding installing contractors.

Key Responsibilities Specification & Design Phase
  • Influence architects and landscape architects to specify our systems in design documents
  • Provide technical guidance on structural attachment, wind uplift, and load performance
  • Assist with custom detailing and integration into project drawings
  • Perform material take-offs and review architectural/structural plans
  • Develop project-specific system solutions
Technical Support & Engineering Coordination
  • Interpret complex architectural and structural drawings
  • Present load calculations and performance criteria (wind, structural attachment, irrigation and drainage)
  • Coordinate integration of lighting, audio, seating, and guardrails into modular systems
  • Assist with shop drawing reviews and submittal packages
  • Manage long-lead projects (12–24-month cycles)
  • Track projects from design development through construction using CRM Net Suite
  • Build and maintain relationships within the architect–GC–subcontractor triad
  • Deliver AIA-accredited CEU presentations (preferred)
  • Achieve monthly-quarterly revenue targets
Required Experience Industry Background
  • 5+ years in architectural product sales, building envelope systems, structural systems, architectural metals, or related construction products.
  • Demonstrated experience getting products specified and achieving award of project.
  • Experience working across the full building lifecycle (design → bid → award).
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings (non-negotiable)
  • Experience with load-bearing systems or structurally attached products
  • Understanding of relevant codes (IBC, wind load requirements, performance standards)
  • Proficiency with:
  • Solid Works or similar 3D modeling software
Preferred Certifications
  • LEED Accreditation
  • CSI Certification (CDT preferred)
  • PMP Certification
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role You are:
  • Equally comfortable discussing structural attachment details and closing a deal
  • Able to “sell the vision” while backing it with technical credibility
  • Skilled at navigating complex design conversations with architects
  • Patient and strategic with long sales cycles
  • Motivated by specification wins and project execution excellence
Performance Metrics
  • Specification wins/ project awards
  • Project pipeline growth and velocity
  • Revenue and gross margin targets
  • Long term customer relationship building
