Planning & Landscape Architecture Intern

Description

We're seeking a Planning & Landscape Architecture Intern to join us for a summer internship in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a hands-on, educational internship designed for students or recent graduates who want real-world exposure to resort-oriented developments and large-scale master-planned communities.

You'll work alongside experienced planners and designers, contributing to early-state visioning, research, and concept development while building foundational professional skills in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
  • Support research and data collection for planning studies and site analysis
  • Assist in developing master plans and landscape design concepts
  • Prepare graphic presentations, diagrams, and early-stage design materials
  • Help organize project documentation and files
  • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions
  • Contribute to field visits and site documentation as opportunities arise
Requirements What We're Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in planning, landscape architecture, and community-focused design.
  • Coursework experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, or similar software.
  • Foundational understanding of site planning and design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn in a professional environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to GIS or related information systems preferred.
  • Experience with Revit, Lumion, or other visualization tools preferred.
  • Coursework in zoning, land use, or environmental planning preferred.
  • Interest in sustainability, resilient design, and large-scale development.

This summer internship will be full time (40 hours per week, M-F) for approximately 8-12 weeks.
