Student Intern // Architectural Designer, I

Plan and design new or existing structures, including commercial buildings, private residences, urban developments, and other structural properties. Consult with clients to assess the purpose, objectives, budget requirements, and design needs of buildings. Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for clients regarding safety standards, design expectations, project specifications, and compliance with government regulations. Ensure successful design by producing scale or technical drawings, blueprints, and architectural models using computer-aided design (CAD) and other tools.

Coordinate activities of active projects and work closely with clients, drafters, technicians, and engineers. Work is typically reviewed by a licensed architect or senior member of the design team. This role does not require architectural licensure or registration and is closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.

  • Collaborate with team members and work on multiple projects from inception to completion to gain exposure to all aspects of the design and construction process.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s (or equivalency) degree with up to 2 years of directly related work experience, or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
