Overview
The Division of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Utah, University Health Care School of Medicine, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible full-time anatomic pathologist with subspecialty training in gastrointestinal pathology. Additional subspecialty expertise or interests will be considered if they align with the department's needs. Candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's clinical service, teaching, and research missions.
The Division of Anatomic Pathology processes more than 35,000 surgical specimens per year among a group of approximately 35 subspecialized pathologists. Pathologists also serve as medical directors for ARUP Laboratories, a national reference laboratory owned and operated by the University of Utah Department of Pathology. There are ample opportunities for research collaboration with the University of Utah Health Sciences Center and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the department's clinical service, teaching, and research missions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the division and affiliated research centers to advance GI pathology and related subspecialties.
- Participate in administrative duties as medical director or in other leadership roles as appropriate within ARUP Laboratories.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology.
- Subspecialty training in gastrointestinal pathology.
- Additional subspecialty expertise or interests that align with departmental needs are welcome.
- Any academic level (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) is encouraged to apply.
