About the Program
The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes in partnership with the Department of Internal Medicine is expanding its comprehensive weight management program. We seek a dynamic, patient‑focused clinical physician specializing in Obesity Medicine to join the University of Utah.
Responsibilities- Provide direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and obesity‑related conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans incorporating behavioral, nutritional, pharmacologic, and bariatric surgical therapies.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of specialists, dietitians, psychologists, exercise physiologists, and surgeons.
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement, clinical research, community outreach, and educational activities.
- ABIM or ABFM certification.
- Obesity training, ideally fellowship training and board certification by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
- Eligible for medical license in the State of Utah.
Academic faculty appointment commensurate with training and experience, access to a nationally recognized multidisciplinary program, and extensive research collaboration opportunities.
