The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program seeks an experienced E‑Learning Specialist to support the DPT Hybrid Pathway. This position collaborates closely with faculty and partners at University Connected Learning to design, develop, and continuously improve high‑quality online and blended courses that align with program outcomes and accreditation standards. The E‑Learning Specialist develops instructional materials, including modules, multimedia content, assessments, and learning activities, and coordinates course production with instructional designers, video staff, and program managers.
The role integrates appropriate learning technologies to strengthen engagement, accessibility, and instructional effectiveness; reviews and revises existing courses to improve organization and alignment; supports project planning and timelines; and applies best practices in instructional design and online pedagogy to ensure consistent course quality.
e‑Learning Specialist, III
Develops learning solutions enabled or enhanced by the internet, intranet, extranet, or other electronic media, including instructor‑led training, self‑paced learning, online mentors, online support, video on demand, virtual classrooms, and virtual labs. Reviews company teaching and learning programs to assess their potential for online delivery and advise appropriate managers on which areas of the curriculum can be redesigned/enhanced using Information and Learning Technology (ILT) and e‑learning.
Develops instructional material, coordinates, writes and edits educational content, and incorporates current technology into learning solutions. Evaluates and confirms learning objectives through ongoing needs assessments. May be responsible for developing action plans, timetables, benchmarks, quantitative targets for the online programs and projects.
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
This is a Career‑Level position in the General Professional track.
Minimum QualificationsEQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
e‑Learning Specialist, III : Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
