Valley Jr. High School - CTE – Digital Literacy/CCA/Exploring Tech – (1.0 FTE)One Year Only position
Thispositionis for a Digital Literacy/CCA and Exploring Tech teacherat Valley Jr. High School for the 2026-27 school year. The teacher maybe responsible for teaching:
- Digital Literacy
- Exploring Technology

Required CertificationRequires one of the following:
- a valid Professional Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a Secondary or CTE License Area of Concentration with one of the following endorsements:
College/Career Awareness/Digital Literacy OR a Technology or Technology and Engineering endorsement; OR a science endorsement. College and Career Awareness/Digital Literacy and Science endorsements must be willing to pass the PRAXIS 5053 Technology Education exam within 3 (three) years of hire. - a valid Associate Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a Secondary or CTE License Area of Concentration with one of the following endorsements:
College/Career Awareness/Digital Literacy OR a Technology or Technology and Engineering endorsement; OR a science endorsement. College and Career Awareness/Digital Literacy and Science endorsements must be willing to pass the PRAXIS 5053 Technology Education exam within 3 (three) years of hire. - an equivalent license in another state with an endorsement comparable to Technology or Technology and Engineering;
- A bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as engineering, computer science, or manufacturing; OR
- University coursework achieving a grade of ‘C' or higher in CAD electronics, programming, engineering, and manufacturing/production systems (a transcript must be attached with the courses circled).
- A passing score on the PRAXIS #5053 Technology Education exam.
- new teacher education program graduates, who do not have their official teaching license yet, should upload a conferral letter from their university education program in lieu of their license, verifying date of graduation, and in which content area(s). Candidate must have officially graduated before hire. A copy of the candidates official teaching license and degree will be required upon hire.
Note: Individuals with only one of the required endorsements (College & Career Awareness/Digital Literacy or Technology Education) must be willing to obtain a second endorsement within three (3) years of hire.
Please upload the following document(s) with your application depending on your licensure situation:
- In and out-of-state applicants must upload a copy of their current state license with their application in order to be considered.
- If approved for an Associate License, please upload your AEL eligibility letter in lieu of a full teaching license
- Applicants without an approved state and/or associates license should upload documentation of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university in lieu of a teaching license in a directly related field such as engineering, computer science, or manufacturing
- If applying by specific credits of coursework (see above), please attach a transcript when asked for a teaching license with the courses circled. All coursework must have been taken within the last ten (10) years and have a ‘C' or higher grade to be accepted.
