Position Overview

The Department of Neurobiology at the University of Utah (http://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at any rank. We seek an innovative and collaborative scientist to lead a research program focused on the mechanisms underlying brain function or disease and to contribute to a supportive, inclusive academic community.

Research Focus

We welcome applicants across all areas of neuroscience. Research themes of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Cellular and molecular mechanisms of brain function
  • Developmental neurobiology
  • Neurobiology of disease
  • Brain aging

Candidates using multidisciplinary approaches and advanced technologies - such as genomics, imaging, computational methods, or molecular tools - are especially encouraged to apply. However, outstanding candidates from any area of neuroscience will be considered.

Qualifications and Expectations

Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree and have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience. Competitive candidates will demonstrate research excellence and strong potential to secure and sustain independent extramural funding.
