Career Development Manager

Job Description

The Career Development Manager oversees the student’s career growth, meticulously managing initiatives to ensure that students are not only well-prepared for their immediate roles but also equipped for future higher-level opportunities. A key focus of this role will be building and maintaining a comprehensive library of resources to be utilized by students in Tier 1 jobs, the Success Network, an AI job coach, employers, and volunteers that help students prepare for the workforce.

These resources will support the success of key programs including Career Chat, English Chat, Student Societies, and Career Webinars, all of which fall under the oversight of this position.

A key focus of this role will be building and maintaining a comprehensive library of resources to be utilized by students in Tier 1 jobs, the Success Network, an AI job coach, employers, and volunteers that help students prepare for the workforce.

These resources will support the success of key programs including Career Chat, English Chat, Student Societies, and Career Webinars, all of which fall under the oversight of this position. The manager will play a pivotal role in shaping students' professional trajectories, working toward a future where they are positioned for success in increasingly advanced roles within their chosen fields. This position requires a dynamic individual capable of coordinating efforts with our data steward and relationship manager, employer relations representatives, Success Network, CES Schools, and external partners to facilitate job opportunities for students.

• Build and curate a robust, adaptable library of resources focused on student work-readiness and professional development.
• Ensure resources are aligned with needs of the students in Tier 1 jobs, the Success Network, an AI job coach, employers, and volunteers
• Create a structure for maintaining, updating, and evaluating resource effectiveness across use cases.
• Support integration of resources into all student-facing programs, including the Boost Program, Career Chat, English Chat, Student Societies, and Career Webinars.

• Oversee and continuously improve programs designed to increase student work-readiness and professional engagement:
• Boost Program
• Career Chat
• English Chat
• Student Societies
• Career Webinars
• Ensure alignment between these programs and the goals of the student experience, Career Services, and employer expectations.
• Utilize feedback and outcomes from these programs to refine the resource library and student development strategy.

• Develop a systematic approach for gathering feedback from employers regarding the performance and preparedness of students.
• Conduct regular check-ins with employer relations representatives to understand their perspectives on student contributions and areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with the employer relations representatives to implement feedback loops, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of job placements.
• Utilize employer insights to inform training programs and refine library resources, aligning student development with industry expectations.

• Coordinate with the Success Network, including mentors, missionaries, and instructors, to facilitate the onboarding process for new students.
• Ensure all students complete and maintain their career profiles across relevant platforms while effectively tracking participation and outcomes.
