9/80 (employee works 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours – with every other Friday off)
The Program Quality Engineer function is a program-focused role that is responsible for ensuring product quality and contractual requirements are met. This includes ensuring/verifying the quality of product inputs such as hardware design, software development, and production plans. This position requires strong influential and collaborative skills. This Quality Engineering position supports all Quality needs for several Program Management and Engineering teams in Salt Lake City, UT.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a cross-functional team to support program success.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis (e.g. DFMEA, PFMEA) and application to Product Risk
- Continuous improvement related analysis tools and techniques (e.g. design for six sigma, root cause analysis, lean manufacturing techniques, Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS))
- Mil/Aero experience, and knowledge of AS9100 Quality Standard
- AS9145/AS9102 Submittals
- Professional certifications (AS9100 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE)
