** About the role
** Packsize is looking for a Machine Compliance Specialist to join the Global R&D Hardware team. This position is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and will report to the R&D Hardware team in Salt Lake City, UT. We are seeking someone who is an expert in CE (Conformité Européenne) machine compliance and can provide practical design guidance and feedback to engineering teams.
This person will also lead the effort on technical file creation, management, and process conformance, serve as the primary point of contact in Europe for CE compliance questions, and may interact with regulatory authorities as needed. Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design best practices align with CE requirements Demonstrate strong knowledge of internal product and technology development processes BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Safety-related degree, or equivalent industry experience Minimum 10 years’ experience in the machine compliance field Expert knowledge of CE (Conformité Européenne) requirements and ISO standards
Advanced knowledge desired in additional certifications (UL, ETL, CSA, etc.)Working knowledge in reading parts and assembly drawings including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T, ISO GPS vs. ASME Y14.5), and technical requirements Working knowledge of PLCs, microcontrollers, machine automation, and programming Ability to read and reasonably follow electrical and pneumatic schematics
Experience with other international machine safety standards (e.g., IECMultilingual skills (especially Dutch, German, or French) to support European field operations Prior experience in global R&D hardware organizations with distributed teams
