Electrical Planning Foreman

Overview

Electrical Designer at Hunt Electric, Inc. Join our Preconstruction Team to plan, design, and coordinate prefabrication for electrical installations. This role bridges design and construction using documentation, software, and collaboration with project management and VDC teams.

• Adhere to detailing standards and build preconstruction electrical drawings using Bluebeam and Excel.
• Generate accurate takeoffs, product counts, and support estimating efforts.
• Create schedules, worksheets, and documentation correctly.
• Serve as a go‑between with field, engineering, management, and technical teams.
• Track progress, timelines, and team deliverables to ensure quality and consistency.
• Prepare, review, and manage all aspects of preconstruction drawings.
• Facilitate meetings and manage details.
• Work independently within a team setting.
• Apply practical, field‑based thinking and attention to detail.
• Read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
• Use computer software for documentation and coordination.
• Demonstrate leadership and teaching skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

• 2+ years of electrical installation experience, preferably as a superintendent or electrical projects.
• Interest in learning construction detailing of electrical installation.
• Microsoft Office experience, including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Autodesk, AutoCAD, Revit, Navis, or drafting/design.
• Experience with electrical construction estimating or project management is a plus.
• Experience in electrical detailing/design including code compliance, submittal review, and specification interpretation is a plus.
