Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Oversee the daily technical operations of the department, including resource allocation and task prioritization.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to aerospace transport systems, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams to ensure systems and equipment run efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure all systems, equipment, and repairs meet regulatory standards and company quality requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues proactively. Maintain proper documentation for all maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades in compliance with aerospace regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, logistics, and operations) to optimize shipping systems and processes. Provide technical insights to senior management regarding equipment status and potential improvements. Facilitate training sessions and share best practices with technicians to maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
  • Lead or participate in technical projects, including system upgrades, installations, and new technology implementation. Plan and manage the scheduling of routine maintenance and system checks to minimize operational downtime.
  • Ensure all activities are performed safely, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards. Promote a culture of safety by ensuring proper training and safety gear are provided to all technicians.

Experience / Education / Skills
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead technician role, with a proven track record of managing teams and projects. (is preferred)
  • Soft Skills:

    Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (e.g., indoor/outdoor, noise, temperature variations).
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
  • As a Department of Defense Contractor we are required to hire US Persons.
