Senior Bridge Engineer

Wilson & Company is seeking a full‑time senior bridge (structures) engineer to support our bridge team in the South Jordan Office. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design projects and performing complex planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are required.

• Design and detail railroad and highway structures, including reinforced concrete, pre‑stressed concrete, steel, earth retaining systems, and drainage structures.
• Perform complex engineering tasks accurately, extract engineering information from CAD drawings, and develop and review drawings, specifications, and materials suitable for procurement and construction.
• Lead the structural design of projects and mentor entry‑level staff in the design and production of construction drawings.
• Communicate effectively with entry‑level staff, senior‑level staff, clients, and cross‑disciplinary teams from multiple locations.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with engineers from a variety of disciplines and locations, meeting with clients as necessary.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree a plus) from an ABET accredited school.
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering design, including bridge, retaining wall, and other transportation structures.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• Experience in plan development, analysis, and design calculations, quality control of highway and/or railroad structures, and familiarity with AASHTO and/or AREMA standards.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as Leap Bridge Concrete, MDX, MIDAS, Risa, Lpile, Mathcad, and related structural design tools.

$120,000 - $160,000+ per year, depending on experience.
