We are excited to share an opening for the position of Technical Lead to drive the development of a RISC-V Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) System on a Chip (SoC), supporting both defense and commercial applications.

What You'll Do:

• Lead a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, software developers, and verification engineers to define, design, simulate, fabricate, and iterate a production-ready RISC-V ASIC SoC based on our client's secure RISC-V CPU. The primary focus will be on turning existing RTL designs into a fully verified ASIC product using industry-standard methodologies including synthesis, place-and-route, and verification.
• Act as the main technical liaison with pilot customers, internal teams, and external specialists to capture product features, use cases, and functional requirements.
• Finalize and maintain the microarchitecture definition and complete ASIC specifications including performance, I/O, power, area, cost, and security functionalities.
• Develop and oversee a thorough verification strategy encompassing testbench development, functional and performance verification, ensuring high coverage and first-pass success.
• Continuously explore new ASIC technologies and methodologies to enhance design quality and efficiency.
• Manage product roadmap prioritization aligning technical feature inclusion with market needs and competitive advantage.
• Break down product plans into actionable tasks, conduct design reviews, and lead team demonstrations.
• Identify and collaborate with strategic partners to augment development, marketing, and sustainment capabilities.

Required Qualifications &

Experience:

• Proven experience designing and fabricating ASICs.
• Over 8 years of ASIC design and architecture experience.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in ASIC product development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in RTL coding (Verilog or VHDL), ASIC design flow, and EDA tools.
• Deep knowledge of ASIC architectures, digital logic, clocking methodologies, and low-power design techniques.
• Experience with standard ASIC design and verification methodologies including RTL synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, UVM, and System Verilog.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active or recently held US Security Clearance.
• In-depth understanding of microprocessor markets and processor architectures.
• Knowledge of applied cryptography and cybersecurity.
• Experience applying cybersecurity principles to operational technology and embedded systems.
