Senior Mechanical Engineering Leader – Rapid career progression to Principal – Salt Lake City, Utah. An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a senior mechanical engineering leader to help drive the continued growth and expansion of its Salt Lake City office.
Position OverviewThis role is ideal for a senior‑level mechanical engineer with experience leading consulting engineering teams and managing complex institutional projects. The individual will work closely with executive leadership across multiple regional offices and contribute directly to office growth, strategic planning, staffing, and project delivery excellence. The position also offers a clearly defined pathway toward becoming a Principal within the business, including participation in long‑term incentive and shared ownership opportunities for high‑performing leaders who contribute to regional growth and firm expansion.

Required

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated client management and business development capability
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for growing teams and business operations
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward licensure
- Experience with Revit and BIM‑based project delivery
- Background delivering healthcare, laboratory, government, or higher education projects
Competitive salary range: $150,000 – $220,000 depending on experience and leadership background.
