Pay: $65,000.00 - $ per year
Archer Mechanical is currently seeking a dedicated full‑time BIM Modeler to join our dynamic team as a long‑term fit.
LocationThis role is full‑time and in‑person at our Salt Lake City headquarters. Relocation to Salt Lake City is required if you are not already located in the area. Once established tenure and performance benchmarks are met, a hybrid schedule may be available.
Responsibilities- Creating installable, detailed mechanical piping and plumbing drawings based on mechanical specifications and engineering notes.
- Preparing and modifying contract plan drawings and shop drawings for contractor approval and fabrication/construction use.
- Performing quality control checks on drawings.
- Utilizing Revit to layout detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, schedules and schematics and to generate point data for Trimble robotic stations.
- Organizing and maintaining digital files and project documentation.
- Utilizing Revit, Bleabeam, and Navisworks for BIM coordination and shop drawings, and developing skills in plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Communicating professionally with owners, contractors, and internal teams.
- Being self‑motivated and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Translating engineering notes and mechanical specifications into high‑precision LOD 400 BIM models that support fabrication and construction.
- Working on high‑stakes projects, including complex healthcare campuses and high‑rise commercial developments, to solve coordination challenges.
- Providing overall support to the BIM Department and contributing to the team’s growth and development.
- Minimum 2‑5 years of experience with Revit or CAD models in mechanical plumbing and HVAC.
- In‑depth knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, with the ability to visualize piping in 3D.
- Proficiency with Revit and Navisworks for BIM coordination and shop drawings.
- Strong skills with Bluebeam.
- Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, submittals, and associated documentation.
- Positive, team‑oriented communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented and adaptable.
- Knowledge of VDC practices.
- Fabrication shop or field installation experience with mechanical plumbing.
- Familiarity with LOD requirements and constructability modeling.
