Job DescriptionCurrently seeing a qualified mechanical designer. Successful candidates will be members of a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, cross‑functional design engineering team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Essential Functions- Electro‑mechanical packaging and design
- Modification of existing and/or creation of new designs including electro‑mechanical racks, shelters, enclosures, ground & airborne chassis and circuit card assemblies (CCA’s) and 3U/6U modules
- Ensure new designs progress while meeting technical requirements and EVMS schedules and budgets
- Ability to travel 5% of standard work week
- Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirement
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings of electro‑mechanical designs
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 4 years of mechanical design experience. In lieu of degree, minimum of 8 years prior related experience
- GDTP certified (technologist level)
- Proficient knowledge of CAD – Siemens NX (Design center) experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiar with the following open standards: VITA, VME, PMC, ASME Y14.5‑2018
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required
- Strong work ethic; maintain a sense of urgency to ensure commitments to both schedule and budgets are met
