Lead Systems Application Engineer

As a Lead Systems Application Engineer, you'll lead and manage customer-facing Demand Response deployment projects, ensuring successful implementation and measurable impact on energy usage and grid stability.

This is a remote role with up to 50% travel. Candidates must reside in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, or Utah.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do:

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary interface for customers, delivering exceptional experiences and building long-term relationships.
Lead and manage customer-facing Demand Response deployment projects, ensuring successful implementation and measurable impact on energy usage and grid stability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Eaton Support, and Deployment Teams to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions.
Act as a connector across the organization, aligning teams and driving outcomes that support both customer success and grid modernization.
Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the deployment lifecycle

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of utility experience
Experience working directly with customers, including ownership or support of key customer accounts
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience running a demand response program
Experience with Radio Frequency and Cellular Communications Systems
Experience with Communications Hardware, Firmware, and Enterprise Software systems.
A solid networking knowledge of computer communications including TCP/IP, SSH, and other protocols.
Proven demonstrated skills in teamwork, time management, customer service skills, and ability to multi-task in an interrupt-based environment

Position Success Criteria:

Ability to travel up to 50%

Mentor project team members with less experience to improve their abilities and performance.

Perform light lifting of 40 lbs. or less.

Knowledge of front-end scheduling, engineering, and manufacturing process and lead times.
