* What You Will Do:

*** Responsible for engineering design, project proposals and estimates, materials procurement, planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects on the intermediate high pressure (IHP) natural gas systems and related facilities.
* Provide engineering support to the Inspection group. Run pipe network analysis using modeling software to determine sizing and composition of natural gas mains and service lines. Also, determine system needs and requirements for projects.
* Perform calculations including gas system pressures, capacities, and economic feasibility.
* Manage projects, including preparing material quantities, price schedules, material estimates, requests for bid (RFB), reviewing bids and contract documents, managing change orders, and construction observation.
* Coordinate with government agencies, property owners, environmental, contractors, and other key project collaborators.
* Gather, compile, and analyze information and data used in engineering tasks.
** Who you are
*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution, or equivalent accreditation coupled with having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. Preferred fields:
Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
* 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience.
* Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings and plan sets, along with applicable codes, regulations, and industry practices.
* Strong planning, organizational, and project management abilities, with the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong decision-making and communication skills, including effective oral, written, and technical writing abilities.
* Proficiency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality, and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. May be exposed to cold/hot weather, loud noises including operating machinery, energized wires &/or radiation.
