This role is responsible for supporting production goals through the planning, development, and execution of manufacturing processes and projects. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to implement effective manufacturing methods, tools, and systems that improve efficiency and support business objectives. Key responsibilities include creating product- and process‑specific manufacturing strategies, collaborating with engineering teams on new product introductions, evaluating costs and time standards, and identifying tooling and process needs for both new and existing product lines.
The role also supports operational coordination by maintaining manufacturing documentation, records, and reporting systems.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with vendors as needed; soliciting observations from operators.
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and process quality.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related engineering experience.
